  • Set an agenda for your 1:1 and share it
Setting an agenda will help you to hold a better 1:1 meeting. Think about the things you want to discuss in the next 1:1 and write it down.
  • Ask questions about employee’s morale
Do not forget the employee’s morale. Ask questions about her/his condition, feelings, and concerns.
  • Take notes
You should take notes during your 1:1 but do not write all the details about the meeting, just write down the important parts.
  • Get out of your office
It is nice to hold your 1:1 meeting in a different place. Make your meeting friendlier and less formal.
